We are happy to subscribe as Friends of GAZE festival for the last number of years because we are excited about what the festival stands for. We like that it shows films that would otherwise not be programmed. The Gala Opening film is always a fun evening. We never fail to be taken by one or two fantastic little-known films that stay with us long after the festival weekend is over. Investing in the work of the festival means that there is an opportunity for others to see quality LGBT films at a reduced price, or for free, and we are happy to ensure that GAZE remains a successful feature on the LGBT and Cultural calendar in Ireland.
Every August Bank Holiday weekend, we are thrilled to sit in the dark and watch the best films from around the world of LGBT cinema. We laugh, we cry, we are stimulated, infuriated yet always entertained by the amazing choice of work, so lovingly selected by the festival programmer. The whole weekend is a buzz of conversations and shared experiences with our LGBT community. People from all walks of life come together to enjoy this very special event. We have been ‘Friends of Gaze’ for many years and we hope others will join us in supporting this unique ‘happening’. By being a Friend, we are part of something worthwhile. It is a gift that keeps on giving throughout the year. Sometimes, it’s important to feel connected. Being a ‘Friend Of Gaze’ makes that connection for us and we love it.
