MobDoc Workshop

Saturday 3rd August

10am - 12:30pm

Light House Cinema

MobDoc is returning for a second year, shining a light on how to tell untold queer stories by just using your mobile phone. Do you feel excluded by current LGBTQ narratives? Want to make a difference to your LGBTQ community?

Come to MobDoc and learn about mobile filmmaking in a session discussing filmmaker techniques and storytelling. Whether your ambition is a 15-second Instagram story, a short film, a feature film or a YouTube web series, it all starts here. All you need to bring is your fully charged mobile phone with space to record video and an interactive attitude to take part in this dynamic workshop. Presented by Deirdre Mulcahy, who has spent the last 12 years training BBC journalists, and Jamie Starboisky, who has spent the last six years curating the UK’s Queer Media Festival in Manchester.

Supported by the British Council
